Under the guidance of the Route Supervisor, this associate will be responsible for accurately pulling and packing products for route shipment to customers. This position also requires the loading of the trucks, organizing of pick tickets, want lists, and other paperwork for delivery. Shift starts at 9:00am Monday - Friday only (No weekends)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Accurately pulling products from shelves Applying RX labels to applicable product to ensure regulatory compliance Carefully scan and package product to be shipped to our customers Stage customer orders on pallets for delivery Wrap pallets by hand and using the wrapping machine Load trucks using pallet jack and drum cart Organize pick tickets, want lists and other paperwork for delivery LEAN processes: dusting, sweeping, organizing boxes, rotating ice packs and filling chest freezer Marginal Functions

Pull orders for shipping department Labeling and stocking shelves with newly received products Pull and pack store orders and carryout orders for customers as necessary Perform light assembly / light production work and other projects Assist with inventory and inventory prep Other duties as assigned

Qualification Requirements:

Education and/or Experience:

Requires a high school diploma with courses in math and computer operations.

Language Skills:

Ability to read, analyze and interpret pick tickets. Ability to write business correspondence via email. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, customers, and other employees.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Must maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Other skills and Abilities:

Ability to operate a computer, forklift certified, work with minimal supervision, follow directions, and work under pressure. Farm experience and animal health knowledge a plus. Ability to follow directions, prioritize work, manage multiple projects, and work independently.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required stand and walk for long periods of time; bend/squat, use hands to finger, handle or touch objects; reach above shoulders; talk and hear.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds up to waist level with assistance. The employee must be able to move up to 700 pounds with a barrel cart. The employee must be able to maneuver a manual or motorized pallet jack with a pallet of product weighing up to 2600 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and distant vision.

Tools/Equipment Used:

Forklift, iPod scanner, Box knife, pushcart, hand jack, two-wheel cart, barrel cart, ladders, tape gun, pallet wrapper and computer.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moderate cold/heat conditions.

The noise level in the work environment is usually low-level

Protective clothing/equipment required:

Closed toe shoes, gloves when handling sharp or abrasive objects.
