The SVP will align technology strategy and execution with business goals and needs, ensuring the growth ambitions of AIA Corporation are consistently supported and achieved through technology.The SVP is accountable for servant leadership, team growth and development, and alignment of internal and external customers, suppliers and vendor partners to the business strategy. In addition, the SVP will be responsible for developing and managing the IT budget and spend, and to achieve goals set by the CEO and leadership team. The SVP will also be responsible for IT-related contract reviews and negotiations. The SVP of Business Technology will act as a trusted technology advisor to business leaders, internal and external stakeholders, and work as a thought leader.ResponsibilitiesStrategic LeadershipPartner with the CEO and leadership team to develop and support a long-term vision for the Company.Collaborate with business unit leadership in strategic planning and roadmapping to ensure that all Company technology investments align with business unit strategies and product roadmaps.Articulate and champion the vision for business development and retention, ensuring that the vision is supported with strong business cases and actionable plans and reflects input from other teams within the Company.Create buy-in for customer-centric innovation processes across the Company.Contribute to leadership team discussions and decision-making with focus on overall Company goals.Ensure an effective Company presence consistent with brand values at industry events.Define the company's overall technology goals and objectives that align with the business strategy.Identify the technology trends and emerging industry technologies that could impact the company's future and incorporate them into the technology roadmap.Prioritize and allocate resources effectively, ensuring that technology investments deliver the highest value to the business.Foster a culture of innovation and experimentation to enable the company to adapt to changing market conditions and customer needs.Establish governance processes for technology investments, ensuring that projects are aligned with business-aligned technology roadmaps and deliver value to the business.Encourage cross-functional collaboration to ensure that technology solutions are integrated with other business processes and systems.Develop and implement a comprehensive cyber and information security strategy that covers all aspects of the enterprise.Conduct regular security assessments to identify vulnerabilities and develop mitigation plans to address them.Implement access controls to ensure that only authorized personnel can access sensitive information and systems.Establish security policies and procedures that comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.Ensure that security awareness training is provided to all employees and contractors and that they understand their roles and responsibilities in maintaining a secure environment.Regularly review and update incident response plans to ensure they remain effective and relevant through desktop exercises which include AIA employees responsible for executing incident response plan processes.Partner with external security experts to stay up-to-date on emerging threats and industry best practices.Establish a culture of security throughout the organization, emphasizing the importance of security as a business enabler rather than an obstacle.Manage and assess third-party risks; be aware of fourth-party vendor relationships.Conduct third-party screening, onboarding, and due diligence.Ensure appropriate investment and staffing.Leverage technology to streamline third-party information management, onboarding and due diligence processes, risk management, audits, compliance management, and performance management.Emerging TechnologyStay informed and up-to-date on emerging technologies and trends that have the potential to transform the business landscape.Conduct proof-of-concept and pilot projects to test emerging technologies and validate their potential for adoption.Prioritize emerging technologies based on their potential impact on the business, level of maturity, and readiness for adoption.Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to understand their technology needs and identify opportunities for leveraging emerging technologies.Foster a culture of innovation and experimentation that encourages employees to explore and experiment with emerging technologies.QualificationsEducation/Experience:Bachelor of Science in a technical discipline required; Master of Business Administration (MBA) preferred.Experience in supply chain, retail, and financial services industry sectors.15+ years of experience leading an evolving small, lean and efficient IT team that is leveraging cloud-based solutions.Must be a hands-on leader with flexible leadership skills, has prior experience leading technology change programs, and the ability to drive results.Experience with vendor IT sourcing, outsourcing models, and leveraging third-party solutions in a corporate IT environment.Must possess significant business acumen to interpret business strategies into technology needs and priorities.Excellent technical, written, and verbal communication skills.Ability to translate technical ideas and terms into more accessible language to stakeholders across the organization.Prior success in developing and deploying mission-critical software or applications.Strong project management skills, with the ability to successfully manage multiple fluid priorities.Supply chain management (SCM) platform experience and prior commercial implementations.Experience running a mixed IT environment (on-premises and cloud platforms) which ensures successful employee and customer services delivery.Microsoft based data and network architecture experience, including MS SQL Services, Active Directory, and Windows based desktops / laptops (100+ employees).Customer facing / IT services background where IT platforms and solutions are directly accountable for revenue generating activities, and rely on third-party partners and providers in a meshed eco-system to deliver customer services.ERP and CRM platform experiences (Salesforce or others) and expertise in managing API integrations between cloud-based and on-premises solution providers.Experience with cloud-based collaboration and communications solutions, including Google G Suite and Facebook Workplace, as well as video, audio, and text-based communications solutions.Identity management expertise (Google G Suite, Active Directory).Strong project management skills, with the ability to successfully manage multiple fluid priorities.
