The Investor Relations team is dedicated to crafting an outstanding client experience for our trusted Limited Partners (“LPs”). The primary function of this role is to provide data and analysis to support the investor relations and capital formation activities of Andreessen Horowitz. We’re looking for a data enthusiast – someone who can see the stories hidden within numbers and is intrigued by the puzzle behind it.To join our team, you should be excited to:

Leverage data to enable practical insights on our portfolio and the industry

Work with our Strategy Planning & Analytics team to build dashboards that provide key insights on fund and investment performance including projected exit scenarios, liquidity and follow-on decisionsDevelop strong fluency with the firm’s portfolio company information database and be able to manipulate and analyze data from the system to draw insightsUtilize cutting-edge tools to streamline and enhance processing capabilitiesRefine and calibrate analyses to stay current and relevant

Continuously push towards automation and process development

Enhance processes through automation to achieve data accuracy, reliability, and speedUphold the highest standards of data precision and monitor and rectify discrepancies across different platforms

Play a key role in our fundraising activities

Synthesize data to build a narrative around fund performanceSupport fundraising with appropriate data infrastructure and respond to LP inquiries, coordinating with various internal constituencies including investment teams, finance, legal and compliance

Build a strategically designed and flawlessly executed experience across every touchpoint for our Limited Partners

Provide real-time fund performance data in collaboration with business unit teamsUtilize historical investment data to drive insights for the firm’s quarterly and annual LP eventsDesign and produce financial analyses to support investor communicationsExtrapolate actionable insights and intelligence on our investors through contact and activity data (e.g. meetings, emails, follow up) captured through our CRM system of recordCollect market intelligence and perform ongoing research of the venture capital industry, including industry best practices and relevant venture market data

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of experience. Preferable past experience includes but is not limited to, data analytics, investment banking in a relevant sector coverage capacity or M&A product role, management consulting, or accountingBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Economics, Finance, Accounting, or a technical field preferred but not requiredDemonstrate a critical eye and keen attention to detail for written prose and charts, tables and spreadsheets and the ability to stay on top of changing data/facts across multiple documents with easeStrong writing skills: The ability to communicate effectively through the written word is a critical skillIdeal Candidate Background

You have a sense of urgency and value the courtesy of professional responsiveness (this is super important as speed is a form of client service)You are able to adapt on the fly and handle unforeseen developments with ease.
