What You'll Do:This position is responsible for combining Symitar PowerOn programming skills with business operations knowledge to provide innovative and effective solutions to support and enhance credit union's business operations. The Symitar Solutions Developer will develop and maintain Symitar PowerOn software, work with the various departments within the credit union to review, analyze, and customize existing business systems including coding, testing, debugging, and documenting programs.

Essential Functions:Assumes primary responsibility to work with LGE's system operations team, Symitar technical support, and applicable business units to provide a solution(s). Solution may require any of the following:Develop a PowerOn software programWork with the Software Development team to provide a non-PowerOn Software ApplicationWork with Symitar Professional Services to provide a custom solutionAssumes responsibility for effectively customizing Symitar PowerOn software programs to meet LGE's information needs below:Analyzes, reviews, enhances, and tailors existing programs to increase operating efficiency or to adapt to information needsEnsures that programming operations are performed in accordance with established standards, policies and proceduresPerforms a variety of complex programming tasks, such as designing, and coding program logicMaintains systems' integrity and performanceAdheres to all compliance and regulatory requirements as set forth for our industryAble and willing to apply underlying architecture for the software programRecommends product revisions or enhancements based on user feedbackDevelops and maintains documentation and user manuals for any projects/processesDeploys application code, monitors functionality, and acts on production and nonproduction issues.Works as part of a development team in the design of software applicationsInvolved in the entire development life cycle including concept, design, and quality assurance testing.Develop and maintain programs that integrate with Symitar and other third party systemsAnalyzes business functions and management information needs and seeks new and more effective programming solutionsTransforms user/business requirements into technological solutions; completes programming, test conversion, troubleshooting, debugging, and requirements analysis utilizing PowerOn frameworkHas an advanced knowledge of the Symitar PowerOn programming languageHas an advanced knowledge of Symitar programming features such as Symconnect, SymXchange, Symform PDF's, PowerFrame Docs framework, MicroApplicationsAssumes primary responsibility of post-mortem activities when urgent/critical issues occur:Document the issue and the solutionProvide training to the Software Development team, system operations team and the business unit ownerAssumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining good communication and coordination with system users, staff and managementWorks with each department to learn how they operate and use the data processing system in order to develop solutions in all applicationsWorks with other staff to solve system problems, develop workarounds, and explore solutions for operational improvements for software systemsResponds to users' requests and ideas and follows through promptlyProvides assistance, support and training to users as required. Ensures that programs meet users' requirements and are completed on scheduleActs as a consultant and resource to usersEnsures that interactions with users are clear, courteous and understandableCommunicates as much information as possible to users, including reasons for problems, project status, and deadlinesKeeps management informed of significant problems and of progress attained in reaching established objectives. Provides recommendations to establish new and more effective programs and future equipment needsPrepares reports of programming activities, discussing changes and their ramifications. Completes records and other required documentsAssumes responsibility for related duties as required or assignedProvides cross functional support for all areas of developmentSupports other developers in the group by providing advice, coaching, and educational opportunitiesStays informed of changes in programming and computer technologyEnsures that work area is clean, secure and well maintainedBe familiar with and follow all policies, procedures and processes which have been established in order to meet compliance requirements of all applicable Federal and State regulations. 5+ years of Symitar PowerOn software development experienceRequired:

2+ years of Symitar Operations experience in a credit union environmentRequired Working Knowledge :

HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap, Symitar PowerOn, Symconnect, SymXchange (new and conversions), Symform PDF, and PowerFrame Docs (new and conversions)Excellent communications, multi-tasking skills, analytical and organizational skillsMust be able to troubleshoot and have excellent problem resolution skillsDemonstrate the flexibility necessary for working in emergency-style environment, willing to triage problems, and occasionally working non business hours or additional hours as neededAble to work in a fast paced, multi-tasking and multi-faceted environmentPreferred:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related Information Technology education relevant to this positionPreferred:
