Our client is seeking a talented and experienced

Digital Asset Manager

to join their dynamic team. You will play a crucial role in organizing, categorizing and optimizing digital media assets to enhance the overall efficiency of communications and educational initiatives.

This is a contract position to start and hybrid in the city of Chicago.

Digital Asset Manager Responsibilities:

Develop and implement a comprehensive digital asset management system to organize and catalog various digital media files, including images, videos, documents and other multimedia contentEnsure consistent naming conventions, metadata tagging and folder structures for easy retrieval and usageWork closely with content creators, designers and other stakeholders to understand the specific requirements and metadata associated with each digital assetCollaborate with different departments to gather and assess their digital asset needsImplement and enforce quality control measures to ensure the accuracy and relevance of digital assetsRegularly review and update metadata to reflect changes in assets or organizational needsMonitor and manage usage rights and licensing agreements for digital assets, ensuring compliance with copyright laws and regulationsProvide guidance to internal teams on proper usage and permissionsConduct training sessions for staff members on how to effectively use the digital asset management systemProvide ongoing support and troubleshooting for users encountering issues with accessing or utilizing digital assetsContinuously evaluate and update the digital asset management system to incorporate industry best practices and technological advancementsIdentify opportunities for system improvements and enhancements to streamline workflows

Digital Asset Manager Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in library sciences, information management or related fieldProven experience in digital asset management, preferably in an educational or large organization settingStrong understanding of metadata standards and best practicesFamiliarity with digital asset management software and systemsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work collaboratively in a team environment
