Description
The Hockomock Area YMCA is hiring School Age Groups Leaders for the 2024-2025 academic year to work in our After School's Out Program at one of our many sites in North Attleboro, Foxboro, Franklin, Wrentham, Mansfield, or Bellingham. Group Leaders assist in the implementation of the daily routine, supervising the students in the School's Out Program, and ensuring a safe, healthy, and constructive environment for all.
Essential FunctionsAssists in the development and implementation of curriculum and group activitiesParticipates in all aspects of the daily schedule, including:
Snack and Lunch (preparation and cleanup)Programming and activitiesSet up and clean-up of daily program space
Provides supervision and guidance to youthIs aware and follows all YMCA health and safety policies and EEC regulationsCommunicates all concerns to the Site Director in a timely fashionUtilizes positive redirection techniques with children, listening and responding appropriatelyDemonstrates and maintains a positive attitude towards children, parents, and staffEnsures cleanliness and orderly appearance of assigned areasRequirements
Ability and temperament to work in a busy, fast-paced work environmentAbility to effectively handle and complete multiple duties and assignmentsDemonstrates a solid work ethic and communication, organization, and collaboration skillsDemonstrates commitment and dedication, and the ability to communicate the mission, goals, and purpose of the YMCA16 years of age or olderExperience working with School Age ChildrenAbility to work independently and accept responsibilityFirst Aid and CPR certified within the first 30 days
