This temporary position is located in Black Mountain, NC - Buncombe County.

Job Order Hourly Rate of Pay: $125.00 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application).

This temporary position will be assigned to the Department of Health and Human Services. This position is located at 932 Old US 70., Black Mountain, NC 28711.

The dentist will provide dental services for DD and Dementia resident's, residing in a State operated 24/7 comprehensive medical facility, in compliance with CMS regulations. Duties include providing general dental services required to establish and maintain essential dental health, including, pediatric and adult dentistry, oral surgery, periodontics, endodontics, prosthodontics, restorative dentistry, diagnosis and treatment planning. Position will work closely with another dentist and dental hygienist. Work hours: 4 days a month of 1 day a week.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities / Competencies

Thorough knowledge of dental practices and developments in the field of dentistry. Considerable knowledge of departmental polices, rules, and regulations pertaining to dental health services.Considerable knowledge of dental health problems in the community or health facilities to which assigned.Ability to supervise assigned personnel.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, departmental personnel from other professional disciplines within the institution, clinic, or community setting. Ability to perform dental work of a professional and independent nature.Ability to supervise and train dental assistants, hygienists, and residents.Ability to prepare and deliver lectures on dental health education to professional and community groups.
