QUALIFICATIONS:Maintain a valid Missouri Bus Permit and Commercial Driver's License (CDL)with a Passenger Endorsement (note: air brake endorsement required for
new applicants as of 1997-98 school year and routes with air brake buses).
Maintain employment requirements in accordance with state/federal regulations.Demonstrate competence for assigned responsibilities.REPORTS TO:
Director of Transportation/Mechanic
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
General Purpose:
To ensure the safe transportation of students to and from school and appropriate activities.
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:
Complete a daily pre-trip inspection of the bus.Drive school bus.Supervise bus passengers,maintain order on bus and report rule violations toMechanic / Bus Garage Supervisor.Clean the inside of the bus daily.Report any damage or mechanical problems immediately to Mechanic / BusGarage Supervisor.Attend bus driver training programs as scheduled by Assistant toSuperintendent, Maintenance, Operations, Transportation.Perform other duties as designated by Mechanic / Bus Garage Supervisor.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Salary and work year to be determined by the Board of Education.
EVALUATION:
Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with
Provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Support Services Personnel.
