Required:
High school diploma or equivalentPass yearly physical examinationHold at least a valid Class B CDL with a school bus and passenger endorsement with not more than 4 pointsMeet all minimum state school bus operator requirementsAbility to work without supervisionCooperate and get along with othersHonestyWork as a member of a teamDesirable:
Knowledge of the streets of the City of CantonKnowledge of the locations of Canton City Schools and buildingsResponsibilities:
The responsibilities of a Bus Driver include, but are not limited to, the following:
Obeys all traffic lawsObserves all mandatory safety regulations for school busesMaintains discipline with the studentsReports undisciplined students to the proper authorityKeeps assigned bus cleanKeeps to the assigned scheduleChecks bus before each operation for mechanical defectsNotifies the proper authority in case of mechanical failure or latenessDischarges students only at designated stopsPerforms other duties as assigned
