OverviewCHI St. Alexius Health Dickinson part of CommonSpirit Heath a national nonprofit health system based in Englewood Colorado. Utilizes the nursing process to identify patient needs and priorities of care through assessment, planning, and delegation of care based on patient needs and evaluation of the patient’s response.
Is held accountable for policies and procedures of the department and organization.

ResponsibilitiesProvides assessment of and preparatory care for all surgical outpatients with an emphasis on anticipation and prevention of complications
Assesses patient’s health and continuously monitors; detect changes in symptoms, health or pain, and take action as necessary; and quickly and accurately assess patient care needs
Responds to life saving situations based upon nursing standards, policies, procedures, and protocol
Collaborates with other care staff to assure smooth transition for patient throughout the facility using proper hand off techniques
Administers medications, IV therapy, and treatments in compliance with policies and procedures
Provides patient and family education
Records all care information concisely, accurately and completely, in a timely manner, in the appropriate format and on the appropriate forms
QualificationsRequired Education and Experience
Associate’s Degree in Nursing
Minimum of two (2) years RN experience
Required Licensure and Certifications
RN: ND
BLS
ACLS
PALS
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Training
Strong oral communications skills
Ability to deal with conflict and difficult people
Strong critical thinking skills
Knowledge of all regulatory agencies and their standards and processes
Ability to manage multiple priorities
