Overview:

As a complement to our SaaS platform, Profitero’s Advisory Consulting team supports global eCommerce business leaders in developing custom strategic solutions that help them accelerate digital channel growth. We blend quantitative and qualitative analysis to deliver bespoke client work anchored in our deep understanding of eCommerce team org design, maturity models, Jobs to be Done, capabilities benchmarking, channel strategy development, retailer playbooks, learning & development, and much more!

As a Consulting Manager, you will be responsible for the development and support of strategic consulting projects for some of the largest brands in the world. You will apply and develop your analytical, interpersonal, creative thinking, business management and leadership skills from day one. Your scope will be global, and your work will directly impact revenue and be of critical importance to Profitero’s strategic initiatives. This role will enable you to work directly with clients to help them solve some of their most pressing business challenges. You will report directly to the lead of our consulting practice and play an important role in shaping the future of our team.

Who you are:

Ideally you have 3 - 5 years of relevant work experience at a strategy consulting firm and/or brand or retailer, within eCommerce, Corporate Strategy, or Marketing

Technically proficient with a proven ability to simplify complex data/technology concepts and communicate succinctly

Motivated to solve some of the consumer products industry’s most complex and interesting challenges

You want to be part of a growing team with visibility and access to Profitero’s leadership

Intellectually curious and eager to become an eCommerce expert or build on your eCommerce/brand expertise

Strong hands-on MS office related skills – esp. Excel and Powerpoint

Bachelor's degree in relevant field

High level of EQ; you can put yourself in a client’s shoes and operate accordingly

Excel at working across teams and motivating people with different agendas to achieve common goals

Thrive in fast-paced environments with lots of change and upward mobility

You have an entrepreneurial spirit with obsession for collaborating, learning, improving and results

Strong consulting, storyboarding and design skills

Excellent project management demonstrated by ability to organize workstreams, estimate effort and deliver on timelines

A strategic thinker but also a doer (enjoy rolling up your sleeves to execute)

You have a high "do to say" ratio

You are incredibly organized, accountable and process-oriented

Based in the greater Boston area. We have a hybrid approach to work and meet regularly for in-person collaboration at our downtown office on Water St.

What you'll do:

Guide top global brands on their eCommerce strategy. This includes organizational design, assortment strategy, enhancing ways of working, training and educating on eCommerce, and more!

Oversee and manage the planning and execution of eCommerce strategy projects

Work closely with clients, including leading presentations and workshops to train or educate teams

Perform first party research via interviews with necessary groups, such as employees, management, and market participants to aid in development of client deliverables

Source and synthesize data from disparate sources to develop actionable client insights and recommendations

Oversee the work of analysts to ensure it meets the overall needs of projects

Coordinate with internal marketing, customer success, and insights teams to ensure best practices are developed and shared

Drive innovative thinking and ensure that Profitero is on the cutting edge of eCommerce through regular industry research

Be a critical member of a growing team to help shape our strategic focus

Partner directly with Profitero’s consulting lead and teammates to scope and execute new projects
