Founded in 1987, TD&I Cable Maintenance quickly established a reputation for superior communication, installation, and quality service, initially specializing in coaxial splicing and aerial construction in Minnesota and Wisconsin. As technology and industry demands evolved, TD&I expanded its services in 1998 to include directional boring and plowing. With a philosophy that no project is too big or small and every deadline can be met, TD&I experienced significant growth, leading to the expansion of its corporate offices and warehouse in Hudson, Wisconsin, in 2000. To meet increasing industry demands, TD&I opened additional offices in Des Moines, Iowa, in 2010 and Cold Spring, Minnesota, in 2014 to better serve their growing customer base. Position Overview

Job Overview

The HR Director will be responsible for developing and implementing a robust HR framework that aligns with TD&I Cable’s strategic goals. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in HR leadership, mergers and acquisitions, and team management. The HR Director will collaborate closely with the CFO and other senior executives to ensure seamless integration during mergers and acquisitions, enhance employee engagement, and lead the HR team in delivering exceptional services.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

HR Framework Development:

Design and implement comprehensive HR policies, procedures, and systems that support the company's strategic objectives.

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.

Develop and maintain an effective performance management system.

Strategic Partnering:

Collaborate with the CFO and senior leadership team on mergers and acquisitions, providing HR due diligence and integration support.

Develop and execute HR strategies that support business growth and transformation.

Provide strategic HR advice and insights to the executive team.

Team Leadership:

Lead, mentor, and develop the HR team to deliver high-quality HR services across the organization.

Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture that promotes continuous learning and professional development.

Talent Management:

Oversee the recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies to attract and retain top talent.

Implement effective succession planning and talent development programs.

Drive employee engagement initiatives to enhance workplace culture and employee satisfaction.

Compensation and Benefits:

Develop and manage competitive compensation and benefits programs that align with the company's goals and market trends.

Ensure the effective administration of payroll, benefits, and employee rewards programs.

Employee Relations:

Promote a positive and inclusive work environment through effective conflict resolution and employee relations strategies.

Implement programs to enhance employee engagement, recognition, and satisfaction.

Address employee grievances and disciplinary issues in a fair and consistent manner.

HR Metrics and Reporting:

Develop and monitor key HR metrics to measure the effectiveness of HR initiatives and programs.

Provide regular reports and insights to the executive team on HR-related matters.

Requirements:Skills & Experience Required:

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.

Minimum of 10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

Proven experience in mergers and acquisitions, including HR due diligence and integration.

Strong knowledge of HR best practices, labor laws, and regulations.

Exceptional leadership and team management skills.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.

Ability to think strategically and execute tactically.

Proficiency in HRIS and other HR-related software.
