Our bank client is seeking to fill an SVP/National Closing Manager role in the Houston, TX market. The successful candidate will be responsible for directing the loan closing process by working closely with senior lenders, underwriters, borrowers, borrower’s attorney, the Bank’s attorney, and the SBA closing and compliance management to ensure quality customer service and timely closing for the client and the Bank. The candidate will supervise through the Regional Closing Department Managers the ordering/reviewing/negotiating loan documents and perfecting the Bank’s interest from the time of approval through funding. The position includes a generous salary of up to $120K along with an excellent benefits package. SVP/National Closing Manager responsibilities include: Coordinating day-to-day operations by organizing workflow, monitoring work assignments, volumes, distribution, and workload to ensure that work is being completed in a timely manner and that expectations of both the client and business partners are met. Directing, organizing, and controlling the closing function for multiple sites located in multiple states. Developing any policies and procedures for the department that are consistent across all locations with any necessary adjustments required by the laws of the states we operate in. Ensuring all loan closing staff conduct thorough and adequate due diligence on all deals and maintain the integrity and accuracy of all loan documentation and data. Utilizing strategic planning skills to develop and execute effective pipeline management systems, as well as successful file review and quality control processes. Developing new nuances to streamline the process in closing SBA loans (and USDA loans). Facilitating communication and partnership between your loan closing staff and other areas of the bank. Serving as the first contact in escalation path on issues and help to resolve questions that may arise between team members and/or other Bank departments, as well as any third-party vendors. Reviewing Quality Control (QC) on all files submitted by the Closing Department Managers in each state we operate in. Developing and conducting internal audit/quality reviews. Review areas include G/L and system reconcilements, loan data integrity, and adherence to audit controls; collateral processing and exception follow-up. Maintaining a working knowledge of Bank policies and procedures regarding the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security, and other regulations that apply to your position. Interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Coaching, mentoring, or training others and teach coursework as a subject matter expert. Who Are You?
