A current brand ambassador with a deep understanding of the spirits industry, and a passion for fortified wine and the aperitif category. You are well-connected and respected in your local trade community. You have a magnetic personality and an eye for detail. You are a natural storyteller and a prolific connector and communicator with an innate ability to promote and build relationships. You are a problem solver, an educator, an event producer, a bartender and a leader.The Job (in a nutshell)The Mommenpop Brand Development Manager (BDM) will act as the face of the brand for their local trade community. They are responsible for increasing brand awareness and velocity of Mommenpop within their given territory through distributor support, education, brand activations and off premise demos. Working cohesively with local sales and distributors, the BDM will excite and inspire buyers, bartenders and consumers with thoughtful activations while leveraging opportunities and relationships to increase volume and capture menu share.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESAccount & Territory Management

Develop and maintain a network of key account relationships that increase volume, distribution and awareness of the Mommenpop brandFocus on supporting Sales and Distribution while increasing velocity within your territoryObtain broad menu share for Mommenpop cocktails, with a key focus on The Spritz, in your territoryInfluence the broader market with premium programming activation, education and sampling demosBe the eyes and ears in the market - be aware of new account openings and opportunities for the brandManage Whole Foods and Total Wine Relationships and drive awareness in these locations in Northern CaliforniaSupport the Napa Mommenpop Team with events in and around our Winery and OfficeEducation

Act as lead educator in your market. Be the Mommenpop Expert and the Spritz Expert!Support Local Sales Team and Distributors with Mommenpop consumer & trade masterclasses, staff trainings, sampling initiatives and brand lead eventsIdentify or assist in ADHOC education opportunitiesTrain-The-Trainer with all key stakeholders in your marketExecute GSMs on an as needed basisMonthly ride-a-longs or blitzes with Sales & Distributor partnersEvents & Activations

Recruit trade & consumers while delivering a Mommenpop experience through activationsBuild consumer and trade CRM lists using event RSVPsDrive trial through sampling activations at accounts, trade shows and off premise samplingsIdentify & activate at local lifestyle & cultural events to tap into new audiences & generate buzzTranslate popularity of Aperitifs and The Spritz into brand-led activations at Key AccountsPlan, organize and execute your local events with care and detailGather photos, content and in local insights for event/market recapsReporting

Maintain a clear and up-to date work calendarUse Monday.com boards to track status of your WIP projects and tasksKeep an account tracker up-to-date for weekly status callsUse designated CRM tools to track velocity and buying status of accountsAttend Weekly WIP meetings with Trade Marketing ManagerAttend Bi-Monthly Sales meetings to align with local planningAdhere to and track against T&E and Activation budgetsDevelop a clear and harmonious alliance with your Local Sales TeamDesired Qualification & Experience

Professional individual with at least 10 years combined experience in the hospitality industry5+ years experience within the craft cocktail community and 2+ years experience in a related position preferredStrong understanding of the three tier systemGenuine passion for fortified wine, aperitifs and the spritz categoryExcellent spirits and cocktail knowledge with a career focus on education (bar smarts, 5 day, WSET, etc.)Strong sense of urgency, adventure and an entrepreneurial spiritOutgoing and personable - knows how to own the room and break the iceCompetency in Google Suite or comparable administrative tools (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)Excellent time and budget management skills and a strong organizational mentalityHigh level written and verbal communicationStrong trade engagement on social media a plusAttention to detail with a creative eyeCollege preferredTravel 15% for Regional/National brand activationsCompensation
