:
Audubon is currently seeking a Manager of Projects to join our team in our Houston, TX Office. Manager of Projects is accountable for the overall performance of project management execution and guidance of a designated group of Project Managers, Project Engineers, Project Coordinators, and Project Administrators within the assigned Execution Center (“EC”). The primary focus of the Manager of Projects is the oversight of project execution, budget schedule adherence, quality, resource management, and talent development of project personnel. The Manager of Projects is jointly responsible for the achievement of all financial and non-financial goals and workshare objectives of the organization. This position reports directly to the Director of Projects.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
:
Provide a safe workplace for all employees and clients; Enforce a 0% tolerance rule. Responsible for recruitment, supervision, management, development, and retention of Project Managers, Project Engineers, Project Coordinators, and Project Administrators. Assigns Project Managers, Project Engineers, Project Coordinators, and Project Administrators to projects with input from Business Unit Managers. Responsible for all hiring, promotions, terminations, compensation changes, approval of leave request, timesheet and expense approval, and assignment of appropriate billing rate for staff in their reporting structure. Monitor and manage project HVEC targets for project execution Responsible for coaching, training, development, and performance management of staff. Coordinate technical training and development, including mentoring and technical support. Responsible for utilization of staff and creating and maintaining department budget. Hybrid role with 4 days in the office and 1 day remote. Work with the Director of Projects to plan, develop, and approve operational policies, programs, procedures, and processes in concert with general policies. Ensure company policies and procedures are understood and implemented by project staff. Conduct regular Project Management Meetings focused on continued development/ training, shared learnings, etc. Review proposals for adherence to company policies, expectations, executing philosophies, and good practice. Auditing the health of all projects that are being managed by staff within their EC. This includes regular (bi-weekly minimum) project status reviews which should cover (cost, schedule, scope adherence, change orders, client reporting, and audit findings as a minimum). Participates in monthly management review of selected projects. Establishes reporting metrics and requirements for projects depending on scope, client, Business Unit, risk, etc. Review Project Manager Project Dashboards to ensure adherence to BU Gross Margin targets. Continuously focuses on efficient project execution in order to maximizing project success, as defined at project kick-off which includes but is not limited to, workshare, profitability, schedule, etc. Responsible for weekly reporting to Director of Projects. May interact with clients and assist with the support activities to further develop Audubon relationships. Function as a Project Director/Manager on certain projects with 100% utilization target. May act as Account Manager or Project Director for certain clients. EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
:
Bachelor's Degree from four-year college or university preferred. Minimum of 10 years’ experience and/or training as a PM in the Oil Gas Industry or related business segment preferred. PE License or PMP Certification preferred. Exemplary communication and leadership skills. Proficient computer skills. Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Knowledge of Scheduling and Estimating techniques and programs.
