Audubon is currently seeking a Sr. Project Manager – Construction to join our team in our Houston, TX Energy Corridor Office. The Sr. Project Manager – Construction will oversee the planning, execution, and completion of construction projects within a designated market space or geographic area. This role ensures projects align with the company's strategic goals, focusing on client relationships and leading project management teams. This position reports to the SVP of Execution.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
:
Lead the strategic aspects of large construction projects, ensuring alignment with company objectives and mitigating potential risks through proactive planning and intervention. Supervise Project Managers and Project Management Teams, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure effective project execution and professional development. Ensure that all projects adhere to established quality assurance procedures and comply with industry standards, client requirements, and regulatory guidelines. Develop and implement business practices that align with the company's strategic objectives, fostering continuous improvement and operational excellence. Report profit and loss figures, analyze financial performance, and implement corrective actions to ensure projects meet or exceed financial goals. Address and resolve billing issues promptly, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing that aligns with contractual terms and financial objectives. Manage the development and performance of Project Managers, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and professional growth. Champion change initiatives and manage the implementation of new ideas and technologies to enhance project delivery and organizational performance. Foster a collaborative team approach for both client projects and internal initiatives, ensuring effective communication and stakeholder engagement. Provide regular updates on project scope, schedule, and budget to all stakeholders, ensuring transparency and proactive issue resolution. Utilize flow down provisions to ensure subcontractors adhere to contractual terms and maintain high standards of performance and compliance. Maintain and review essential project logs, including RFIs, action items, decisions, and change orders, ensuring accurate and timely documentation. Conduct structured internal, client, and subcontractor meetings with clear agendas to review progress, address issues, and plan upcoming activities. Monitor productivity metrics, such as Earned vs. Burned and CPI, ensuring projects stay on track and meet performance benchmarks. Stay updated with drawing revisions, manage scope changes, and update schedules, accordingly, producing s-curves and other performance reports as needed. Oversee the development and implementation of procurement, staffing, and equipment plans, ensuring resources are effectively allocated and managed. EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
:
Required: Bachelor’s Degree and 12 years of relevant experience, or an Associate’s Degree and 15 years of relevant experience. Minimum of 10 years of industry-related experience as a Project Engineer or Project Manager. Effective communication skills and experience in client relationship management. Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, MBA, PMP certification, or PE License. 15 years of experience in managing large multi-discipline projects. Experience in strategic account management.
