The

Regional Sales Manager (RSM)

is responsible for growing the company's revenue through the development of new accounts, and the development and expansion of existing customers. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated track record of growth and expansion within existing accounts, along with management and development of a sales representative network, direct accounts, and OEMs. As Regional Sales Manager you will work with PI product and market business development teams to drive growth in your region. This is a fast-paced role, requiring precision focus on rapidly increasing sales opportunities throughout your assigned region. This position will report to the Director of Sales for the Americas.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Achieve or exceed sales targets

• Identify and develop sales opportunities for target accounts, explore market needs, evaluate and communicate competitive scenarios, and develop new accounts

• Set clear, actionable short-term/ long-term goals to maximize performance and execute plans

• Maintain highest standards of customer satisfaction and quality service

• Build, manage, and strengthen relationship with key decision makers and innovation leaders

• Support Finance with accounts receivable and AR collections efforts

• Organize product training for customers periodically, and road shows

• Prepare reports (sales, budget, inventories) which give management teams a solid and focused overview, as needed

• Develop commercial positions for winning proposals, promotions, and negotiations

• Visit existing and potential clients to evaluate needs or promote products and services

• Develop and execute strategic Sales and Marketing plans and sales initiatives

• Participate in relevant exhibitions and conferences

Requirements

Qualifying Attributes and Skills:

• The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in Regional Sales Management, of analytical instrumentation in the Gas, Chemical, or related industries

• Bachelor's degree required. Technical (engineering or sciences) degree is a plus

• 5+ years relevant working experience with proven, demonstrated track record of successful sales

• Travel expectations as needed to achieve targets (50% - 75% in field, local and overnight travel)

• Strong business acumen in dealing with customers from direct contacts to senior management; influencers and decision makers

• Experiences in target setting, KPI utilization and budget management

• Great analytical and planning skills and analytical thinking abilities.

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal

• Strong organization and leadership skills

• Must be a team player, task-oriented, ability to work under pressure

• Must be results-driven with proven ability to sell and project a positive, professional attitude

• Strong interpersonal skills and experience working with multi-departmental, geographically dispersed teams.

• Strong organizational, planning, presentation, and time management skills.

• Technical proficiency a must (Salesforce.com or other CRM products, MS Office). Understanding technical requirements from customers to develop relevant solutions

• Identify market needs to understand the market environment and promote relevant solutions

• Enhancing your knowledge on own products and competitor's offers

• Develop solutions for market entry barriers
