We currently have an opening for an Applications Specialist for our total sulfur (ATOM)and Water Quality Analyzers (LAR) products within Process Insights. This position will be based at our operating site in Houston, TX and will report into the Applications Manager & Senior Scientist. The future of this role may result in expanded opportunities across multiple product lines.

The position of Applications Specialist will provide professional technical communication and support to the Company's Sales and Field Service Team, as well as interact directly with customers. The Application Specialist is responsible for application review, development, and validation, ensuring that we deliver high-performance analyzers to meet a variety of diverse customer applications.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Technical Support and Application Development:

Support Process Insights Teams worldwide with Application solutionsProvide Application Support to existing customers and PI resourcesPhone/email applications supportStream EvaluationsFuture Application DevelopmentSite Visits (commissioning and emergency visits)Provide customer support post sale and pre-installationSoftware configurationMethod optimizationFactory and site acceptance testingProject managementConfigure and test software settings to ensure consistency with specific application requirementsConduct hands-on application research, testing, and validation in laboratoryContribute to internal and customer facing application documentationSales Support:

Provide rapid and accurate technical, application support to Sales in diverse markets including Aerospace & Military; Agriculture, Food & Beverage; Chemical; Energy; Environmental; General Industrial; Hydrocarbon Processing; Lab & Research; Life Sciences; and SemiconductorConduct Customer Stream/sample evaluations for our ATOM and LAR product linesConduct Demonstrations/Technical Sales Presentations (at Customer Sites)Function as the "go to expert" for product selection and applications expertise for our global sales teamsConduct product training for internal sales team as well as manufacturers reps.Assist with in-field product and application training to new and existing representativesAdhere to corporate policies and procedures, health and safety policies, quality standards and laws, and legal standardsMaintain consistent and professional attendance, punctuality, and personal appearanceDevelop personal skills and capability through on-going training, as provided by the Company or elsewhere subject to Company approval

Requirements

Qualifying Attributes and Skills:

•Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Physics, Biology or Engineering

•A minimum of three to five years in a technical field or equivalent total sulfur and water analyzer experience

•Knowledge of analytical techniques, preferably industrial applications

•Knowledge of Total Sulfur and Water (TOC, COD, BOD, TN, Toxicity) analysis

•Knowledge of the Aerospace & Military; Agriculture, Food & Beverage; Chemical; Energy; Environmental; General Industrial; Hydrocarbon Processing; Lab & Research; Life Sciences; and Semiconductor Industries

•Proficient with Microsoft PC based software

•Well organized, self-directed team player

•Ability to function in a self-motivated manner

•Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

•Up to 50% travel per year

•Valid driver's license required
