Required skills and qualificationsDeep experience with Python, Java, or ScalaExperience with SparkFamiliarity with microservice architectureStrong client-facing experience as a data engineer/consultantStrong understanding of analytics and data scienceSqlMicroserviceSpringResponsible for design, prototyping and delivery of software solutions within the big data eco-systemAs a team member designing and implementing solutions based on Big Data software to solve customer business problemsAlso is responsible for explaining and researching the technical capabilities of BMC's products vs our competitionParticipate in vendor landscape and technology assessments (covering for example Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, TensorFlow)Advisory and recommendations on Big Data technologies and products including hardware and software
