Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) Supervisor
to become a part of our superior workforce. The
Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) Supervisor
will provide onsite and remote federal program support.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in the management of a Federal FOIA program by supervising and directing everyday duties of FOIA Analyst/Specialist contractorsApply experience and comprehensive knowledge of laws, rules, regulations, and policies on the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), Privacy ActSupervise the coordination of FOIA requests and responses with management and staff across federal agencies to ensure consistency and compliance with applicable laws, rules, regulations, orders, policies, procedures, executive orders, case law, legal guidance, requirements, and established deadlinesCommunicate and coordinate with members of the general public, legal entities, state/federal agencies, and other stakeholdersIdentify and prioritize content types and formats to ensure consistent redactionImplement processes to track, manage, and report on FOIA requests and review statusesAssist with creating an electronic reading room for public-access to office FOIA documents and informationRequirements
Minimum of US Citizenship required to obtain client-issued Public Trust6+ years of experience working directly with FOIA is requiredExperience leading teams, directing work schedules, and balancing team workloads to accomplish mission requirementsExperience and knowledge of FOIA rules and regulations is requiredExperience with receiving, reviewing, and analyzing new and backlogged FOIA requests is requiredExperience redacting records with proprietary data, trade secrets, and confidential commercial information is requiredStrong analytical skills and ability to interpret data and complex requestsAbility to adapt procedures, tools, and resources to meet client needs with minimal oversightDemonstrated capability in executing complex, difficult, and time-sensitive assignmentsExperience with federal records management activities is preferredExperience with legal and regulatory compliance is preferredExperience with FOIAXpress is preferredDepartment of Energy (DOE) FOIA experience is preferredExcellent written and oral communication skillsExcellent attention to detail and an understanding of fundamental business writingExpertise in Microsoft Office Products (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
EDUCATION : Bachelor's Degree in business, government, or a related field required
