**Job Summary****AECOM** is seeking a _Marketing Systems Writer - Communications Coordinator I_ to be based in Chicago, IL. The full-time Communications Coordinator will support the knowledge management and marketing systems activities for the U.S. West Region marketing team. We are seeking a candidate who has education and experience with writing and content development and an interest in data systems.The Communications Coordinator is a member of the U.S. West Region’s marketing team, which leads in developing the external, client-facing marketing communications and collateral to support the business and growth objectives for all AECOM business lines within the West region.This position will report directly to a marketing leader for the West region. Join us and let’s get started.The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:+ Provides direct support to marketing’s knowledge management and system teams, which includes assisting our content managers, as well as marketing and communications managers+ Provides editing, writing, and content development and data updates related to our systems dedicated to staff (CV/resumes), project descriptions, corporate boilerplate, and other content. Content generated is leveraged in positioning to win work and for the creation of proposal or qualification responses, or to support campaigns and initiatives.+ Supports editing for portions of proposal and qualifications, or client-facing collateral such as thought leadership development and presentations.+ Able to assist proposal teams with requests for information such as performing basic searches or supporting editing requests based on results+ Works under the supervision of content managers following standards and guidance for systems+ Supports content collection and updates for libraries+ Applies brand guidelines to writing and technical editing for proposals, firm qualifications or narratives, award submissions, and other collateral.+ Interacts directly with internal clients and subject matter experts from proposal teams, marcomms, and communications or technical teams.+ Supports communication internally for marketing best practices or training initiatives working in collaboration with marketing and the business lines.+ May assist with aspects of production and content for training and learning projects and events+ Project management of small projects per the direction of the manager.+ Supports marketing’s knowledge management and system team goals to advance marketing data systems as a central resource that provides AECOM teams with accurate and fresh content to drive winning work, and improved efficiencies across teams and differentiate.**Minimum Requirements**+ Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, communications, and or marketing,**Preferred Qualifications**+ Proven writing and editing abilities, with writing samples provided if selected to interview+ Knowledge of SharePoint or similar document library system and value of metadata a plus+ Comfortable working with, and interest in, data systems functionality a plus+ Strong written and oral communication skills, and effective listening skills+ Demonstrates a focus on quality and accuracy, able to deliver repeatable results+ Conscientious, team-oriented, and flexible: the ability to work independently and on multiple, concurrent projects with revolving, occasionally shifting deadlines or quick turnaround requests+ Highly professional: Ability to interact with fellow marketing teammates and staff from across the AECOM organization (regional and global marketing and communications teams, business line leadership, subject matter experts, etc.)+ Ability to support project needs among multiple team members+ Ability to work in a collaborative, virtual team environment, across all U.S. time zones+ Experience with or open to working in project management web-based software+ Experience with Microsoft Office software, including Excel and virtual meetings (Teams)**_Additional Information:_**+ Sponsorship not available+ Resume and portfolio of recent work must be submitted+ A writing sample must be submitted+ Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
