Join us and let’s get started.**Job Description****AECOM** ’s Design and Consulting Services legal department is actively seeking a Counsel. This position can be based in a wide variety of AECOM office locations in the US.**Responsibilities and Duties:**+ Works on legal matters.+ Reviews and/or prepares business agreements and contracts.+ Provides counsel regarding collateral matters arising in connection with business transactions.+ Identifies and protects the business interests and objectives of the company and minimizes the risk of loss or liability.+ Represents the company in judicial and administrative litigation communication with outside law firms.+ May manage the review all contracts, bids, and contract-related services during contract performance.+ Participates and/or leads negotiations between the company and its client.+ Performs other related duties as assigned.**Qualifications****Minimum Requirements:**+ Bachelors Degree + at least 4 years of experience as a practicing attorney supporting engineering, construction, and/or environmental services projects, including experience drafting and negotiating agreements and service-based contracts and/or handling claims and litigation or a demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.+ Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.+ Admission to the bar in any state or the District of Columbia.**Preferred Qualifications:**+ Previous experience participating in and supporting business development activities including cross-functional review of RFQ/RFP requirements for professional and other services involving environmental, health, and safety; contract reviews; collaboration with senior managers in the Legal Department on non-standard contract terms; identification of risk and opportunity; and development of risk mitigation plans.+ Legal experience with environmental, health, and safety matters.+ Well-developed communications skills; ability to clearly and concisely express legal issues and analysis to management, clients, government authorities and other stakeholders.+ Self-driven and resourceful to achieve goals independently and in groups.+ Flexibility to adjust and thrive in an environment with changing requirements, schedules, and priorities.+ Excellent writing, presentation, and meeting facilitation+ Skills Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.**Additional Information**+ This position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization now or in the future.+ Relocation assistance and/or per diem is not offered for this position.+ Offered rate of compensation (California locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
