Job Details
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Associate Attorney (General Liability), you will be expected to perform a variety of tasks, including but not limited to:
1. Represent clients in all aspects of general liability litigation, including auto insurance disputes, discovery proceedings, motion hearings, depositions, and court appearances. 2. Analyze and interpret laws, rulings, and regulations with probable case outcomes for individuals and businesses. 3. Draft legal documents including pleadings, discovery, motions, briefs, contracts, and other necessary legal paperwork. 4. Conduct and coordinate research into a variety of legal issues. 5. Provide legal advice and guidance to clients, ensuring that their rights are protected and that they are fully informed of their legal options. 6. Develop strategies and arguments in preparation for presentation of cases. 7. Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients in an effort to resolve matters as efficiently and effectively as possible. 8. Maintain professional relationships with clients, colleagues, and judges. 9. Stay updated on industry trends and changes in the law to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Associate Attorney (General Liability) position will possess the following qualifications:
1. Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school. 2. A minimum of 1-5 years of experience as an attorney, with a focus on general liability. 3. Active member of the State Bar in good standing. 4. Extensive experience with auto insurance, discovery, motions, depositions, and court appearances. 5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make sound decisions. 6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and persuasive manner.
