Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced Network Engineer to design, implement, maintain, and support our growing network infrastructure. We seek an experienced network and security engineer with a solid technical background to help us transform the network.The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the stability and integrity of the company's voice, data, video, and wireless network services. The candidate should be a self-starter and can work both independently and with all levels of employees. This role requires a high level of technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Deploy and configure network hardware, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points. Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize for maximum efficiency and reliability. Implement and maintain network security measures to protect against unauthorized access. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and integrate network solutions accordingly. Communicate effectively with partners, tenants, and team members to ensure successful project delivery. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation related to network configurations, processes, and procedures. Have security on the forefront of every project and implementation. Manage Palo Alto firewall, Fortinet firewalls, Extreme Networks, Cisco Systems, and Aruba Clearpass Manage software integrations with Palo Alto, Extreme Networks, and other systems Generate regular reports on network performance, security, and capacity. Identify and resolve network-related problems in a timely manner Contribute to critical initiatives focused on venue technology and moving the business forward. Manage WLAN implementations in multiple locations Provides technical support and assistance to internal and external customers during normal and after regular hours when necessary which may include weekends and holidays. Analyze, isolate, and resolve network problems. This includes but is not limited to technical, procedural, operational, and functional issues. Develop and manage all troubleshooting routers, switches, and telephony equipment. Create, update, and close all assigned tickets in IT ticketing software promptly and with high levels of customer satisfaction.Work with the IT team to ensure efficient operation of company's technology environment. Supervise network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, and security configurations to ensure optimal operations. Work with 3rd party vendors as needed. Contribute to critical initiatives focused on venue technology and moving the business forward. Other duties as assigned by Manager Required Skills, Experience and Abilities

To perform the job successfully, you should demonstrate the following competencies:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or an up to date CCNP certification is a plus. Proven experience as a Network Engineer or similar role in a complex enterprise environment. Experience with network security, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems. 3+ years' experience in computer networks and systems maintenance in a corporate environment. Experience in LAN/WAN technologies - fiber, Ethernet, WiFi, PTP, MPLS and or DWDM. Experience with cabling technologies - Category 5, Category 6, Single & Multi-Mode Fiber. Experience managing a diverse network of services, applications, operating systems, and hardware. Experience in maintaining, implementing, troubleshooting HD Wi-Fi solutions. Experience in maintaining and troubleshooting network firewalls. Knowledge of routing and switching protocols. Ability to shape research, data, and collected intel into strategy Ability to navigate and understand team databases Demonstrated "real world" Cisco network environment support Solid understanding of TCP/IP, OSI, SAFE network design, network lifecycle, network analysis and troubleshooting techniques Strong understanding of networking protocols and technologies: BGP, EIGRP, MPLS, IPSec/SSL VPN, Dot1q, WIFI, NAT, RSTP, SNMP, DHCP, DNS, TACACS, Syslog, WAAS, etc. Knowledge and experience with VOIP systems Strong understanding of Network Management and Monitoring Systems (Solarwinds, Accelops, Cisco Prime Infrastructure, tcpdump, Wireshark, Netflow/sFlow, iperf, etc.) Experience in maintaining, implementing, troubleshooting HD Wi-Fi solutions. Excellent communication skills including written and verbal; ability to present ideas clearly and concisely Fully versed in standard Internet services such as DNS, SSL, HTTP, etc. Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality Presents self in professional manner and have ability to interact with all levels of organization and outside contacts Strong interpersonal skills - listens to others, works well in a team environment Ability to work extended hours including Spectrum Arena events, all Hornets home games, nights, weekends, and holidays In depth knowledge of two or more of the following networking technologies :

Network Access Control (NAC) Intrusion Detection/Prevention (IDS/IPS) Convergence Wireless; WAN Ipv4/v6 Routing Protocols (RIPv1/v2/v3, OSPFv2/v3, VRRP, MPLS, BGP, PIM, etc.) Layer2 Switching (802.1Q, 802.1D, 801.x)
