AVA Community Relations Director

Description Summary: This position is to provide clients (prospective residents and their families and referral sources) with facility and program information via community outreach and networking (facility tours, personal visits, assessments, presentations and follow-up). Make person-to-person calls outside the facility to legal and medical professionals, senior organizations, hospital discharge planners and other community contacts. Conduct pre-admission evaluations whenever necessary either independently or in conjunction with an appropriate colleague to insure appropriate placement of the patient or resident. Maintain a working knowledge of federal and state regulations and reimbursement issues (Medicare, Medicaid, Private Pay, Workers Comp, indemnity, HMO, PPO Capitated, etc). Develop and implement special events and presentations targeted at community education. Serve as community resource and maintain contacts for information exchange. Education: Bachelor's Degree in marketing or related field preferred. RN or LPN a plus. Experience: Experience in sales, with proven ability to "close" a high percentage of qualified leads.
