Olfactive Biosolutions is seeking a highly experienced executive to lead its R&D, biotechnology and lab automation efforts. Will manage scientific and technical staff and interface closely with the AI team to coordinate artificial intelligence developments.Qualifications
10+ years of relevant science management in drug discovery or a high-throughput commercial laboratory environment.Knowledge of drug discovery.Experience in chemosensory GPCRs such as olfactory, taste, fatty acid receptors, trace-amine-associated and ectopic receptors.Ph.D. in Biochemical Engineering, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology or similar discipline preferred.Track record of contributing to company profitability.Demonstrated understanding of the relationship of the scientific functions to data science, sales, marketing, and finance.Demonstrated ability to set and monitor goals for direct reports and their staff.Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.Strong oral and written communication skills.Demonstrated success in working in a senior management team.Able to convey our vision to customers in food and beverage, ingredients, pharma, and consumer packaged goods industries.Experience with artificial intelligence for drug discovery a plus.Passion to expand treatment for chronic diseases to underserved populations.Responsibilities
Chief Scientific Officer, Biotechnology will:Establish priorities for the use of staff and equipment resources in growing our lab and performing the Company’s R&D, biotechnology development and lab automation projects.Provide guidance, leadership and management to direct reports.Develop the leadership and management skills of direct reports.Contribute to scientific solutions for difficult assays.Identify staffing needs and guide direct reports in recruiting and hiring.Contribute to meetings with the Company’s customers and prospective customers by clearly communicating how the Company’s technology works to provide solutions for the customers’ and prospects’ challenges.As a member of the Company’s senior leadership team, be an active contributor to Company strategy.Olfactive Biosolutions is an equal opportunity employer.
