Vitalant is currently seeking an evening shift Dispatcher /
Hospital Distribution Technician
to process orders and facilitate the delivery of blood and blood products to our local hospitals and patients. Whether you are just starting your career, or if you’re new to the blood banking industry, we’re here to train, mentor, and help you grow. Please note: this is not a driving role.
Our ideal candidate is looking for a fast-paced environment with an overnight schedul e and additional compensation opportunities with shift differential.
As a Hospital Distribution Technician, you will use your customer service skills to build relationships with our customers by dispatching calls, providing quick and accurate shipments of blood and blood products, as well as managing blood inventory. Every day you’ll be making a measurable difference in your community and throughout the US.

Meets required delivery timeframes to ensure logistics parameters and customer expectations.Communicates with customers regarding order fulfillment, order turn-around times, estimated arrival time, product availability, or other questions or concerns customers may have.Ability to inspect and appropriate inventory received shipments of blood and blood products.Provides exceptional attention to detail.Work as part of a team and independently to achieve daily goals.Maintains accurate records of transactions and processes associated fees.Requirements
High School diploma or GED requiredValid in-state driver's licenseSix months of customer service experience requiredPrior healthcare industry experience preferredAble to lift 40lbs
