Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Department of Surgery at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure clinician educator track. Expertise is required in the specific area of pediatric plastic surgery. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. They must also be certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery or foreign equivalent, or eligible for such certification.

Teaching responsibilities may include instruction of medical students and plastic surgery residents.

Clinical responsibilities may include building a clinical practice in pediatric plastic surgery that focuses on general pediatric reconstruction, pediatric breast surgery, treatment of pilonidal disease, abdominal wall reconstruction, and basic microsurgical techniques. Importantly, the clinical practice will encompass care at CHOP’s main campus as well as New Jersey-based satellite facilities.

Research or scholarship responsibilities may include pursuing clinical and/or basic science research related to pediatric plastic surgery.

The successful candidate will become a member of the Division of Plastic Surgery and will practice at the nationally recognized Children's Hospital of Philadelphia
