Degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems or related education.
Preferred:
1-3 years of general experience in data communications or computer systems including 1 year of demonstrated specialized experienceIT Certifications applicable to desktop and mobile computer support desired
Job order details:Candidates will be responsible for:
Install desktops, portable computers, peripherals, and software products for networked and standalone environmentsDetect, diagnose, research solutions, and resolve desktop and portable computer software and hardware failuresProvide users with information, guidance, and instruction on use of desktop and portable computer hardware and softwareAnalyze and assess customer service requests and provide prompt technical solutionsConduct IT audits as assigned, in compliance with policies governing the administration, utilization, and acquisition of desktop and portable computer productsPrepare progress/status reports and submit to IT Manager as requiredUtilize trouble-ticketing software for opening/updating/closing tickets in a timely and appropriate mannerIdentify and document areas for process improvementsContact and effectively communicate with users by telephone, electronic communications, or in personPrepare equipment for reuse or surplus of property actionsProvide technical support for customers assigned to remote locations as requiredPerform software and hardware upgrades and installations involving multiple computers, printers, multi-printers, and peripheralsCoordinate the disassembly and reinstallation of IT equipment
