Ignite Digital Services, has an exciting opportunity for a Junior Internal Auditor to support the technical delivery on one of our projects within the Federal Government in the San Diego, CA area. The nature of this position requires the candidate to exhibit exceptional organizational skills, notable attention to detail, outstanding verbal, written, listening and communication skills. The ability to self-motivate and take initiative is a must. The position is fully remote with the exception that roughly one day a month they go in for a collaboration day on base with the clients.

Inspect account books and accounting systems for efficiency and use of accepted accounting procedures, with a focus on final processes, internal controls, control testing, and policiesConduct individual internal audit projects, as part of a master internal audit planExamine financial statements to be sure that they are accurate and comply with laws and regulationsAssess financial operations and make best-practices recommendations to managementImplement standardized business processes across organizational unitsDevelop and implement corrective actions to transform the client's business environment while improving the timeliness and quality of financial informationProvide oversight and leadership of tasks and deliverables, ensuring the timely and successful completion thereof in accordance with the project management planMinimum Qualifications:
BS or BA degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related risk management disciplineWorking knowledge of data analytical tools and analytical applications (MS Excel) to analyze, interpret, and organize a variety of data and informationUnderstanding of internal control concepts and experience in applying them in various business processes, areas, and functionsCurrent Active Secret Security ClearancePreferred Qualifications:
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or equivalent professional designation including but not limited to CISA, CISM, ISACE, CDFM, or CGFMCompliance and Operational auditing experience
Salary: $75k + to align with education and experience
