DescriptionBudget Range for this role: $90,000 - $100,0001901 Group is looking for a Scrum Master to join our Agile team and help support the development team and product owner in delivering incremental value each sprint for the products. They are knowledgeable in scrum and are able to educate others on Agile methodologies and practices. They remove impediments and act as a shield from external distractions. They create a safe working environment for the team and are an innovator who constantly seeks continuous improvement and builds higher performing teams.Primary Responsibilities.Coach, mentor, and train team members in self-management, cross-skilling, transparency and living the Scrum Values of commitment, focus, openness, respect and courageGuide teams through a maturity journey starting with the foundations outlined in the Scrum Guide, understand and experience why the framework works and ultimately how and when to change their own processes to suit their needs while still achieving the principles of the Agile Manifesto. Encourage best engineering practice like Definition of Done, Coding standards and compliance, automation, pair programming, as appropriate.Schedule and Lead Daily Standup meetings for multiple teams (including development teams and a Scrum of Scrums with various stakeholders), schedule, plan and lead bi-weekly Retrospectives for multiple teams, facilitate Sprint Planning (along with Product Owners) and Sprint Reviews.Partner with the Product Owner to be mindful of short- and long-term goals and applying approaches to help focus on solving the right problems at the right time then building solutions with iterative, experimental, customer-centric and data-driven activitiesHelp formal leaders and stakeholders understand and enact empirical approaches for complex work.Engage with other Scrum Masters to elevate larger organizational issues and patterns impacting collective organizational performanceFacilitate the team's progress towards team's goals: Continuously challenging the old norms of development to improve performance in the areas of quality, predictability, flow, and velocity. Help the team focus on daily and iteration goalsBuild a high-performing team: Focusing on ever-improving team dynamics and performance.Basic QualificationsBachelor's Degree in a related discipline with minimum of 4 years of relevant professional experience (Additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree)Experience in working as a Scrum Master or Team Lead for a systems engineering, I.T. Support, or network engineering team.Certified Scrum Master required.Working knowledge of application programming, database, system design and well as web-based and client/server architectures preferredPreferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in a technical field such as System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related disciplineExperience in Agile coaching and leading team transitions and implementationsCertified Product Owner preferred.Experience working with large software systems and application testing.Experience working within an Agile environment or program.Experience working with multi-disciplinary technical development teams.Budget Range for this role: $90,000 - $100,000Original Posting Date:
