Starting wage ranges from $17.50 - $20.00 dependent upon experienceNight shift differential: $2.50WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:You will be responsible for the operation and output of assigned production lines which include but are not limited to:
Operate a forkliftRetrieved boxed resins and deliver to extrusion lineScan all materials to the appropriate extrusion lineWeigh and return boxed resin to inventory locationsKeep resin bins fullCommunicate all resin/packaging needs and maintain stock inventory in plantKeep inventory areas clean and organizedUnload and put away all raw material deliveriesTake trash and cardboard waste to appropriate compactorStretch-wrap and label all Finished GoodsAssist operators in packaging and banding palletsLabels scrap and keep scrap area clean and organizedInspect finished good packagingLoad finished goods into transfer trailer.Breakdown and organize empty Gaylord containersComply with all safety policies and proceduresComply with all AIB and BRC Standards and Standard Operation ProceduresOUR SAFETY REQUIREMENTS:
Ensure that safety and health concerns are given primary consideration in all activitiesFollows company guidelines and actively participates in all safety processesCarry out job/area specific housekeeping duties and maintain a high standard of professionalismLook for, report, and correct any near misses/unsafe conditions or behaviors as soon as possibleProduce quality materials to be distributed to customersMaintain production volume and efficiencyIdentify needed changes and make recommendations - find a better wayTroubleshoot mechanical issues, requesting supervisor assistance when neededOUR BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
A high school diploma or equivalent.Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing job experience.Ability to work 12 hour shifts.Good basic math skills and knowledge of how to read a tape measure.Possess basic computer skills.Demonstrated skill in organizing work, taking initiative, setting priorities and sound decision making.Possess logic, problem solving, and trouble shooting skills.Deals effectively with company personnel on all levels ranging from production workers to top management.Excellent oral and written communication skills to work effectively in a team environment.Physical Work and Work Environment:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to stand most of their 12-hour shift on a cement production floor. The team member frequently is required to use arms to reach and hands to handle or feel. The team member must repetitively lift and/or move up to 65 pounds. Must be able to routinely climb stairs and work safely around numerous hot surfaces and rotating equipment.Team members are also required to frequently talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Team members in this role are exposed to seasonal temperature/humidity changes that can be near 100 degrees Fahrenheit.Are our values a match for you?
