** This position is based in Austin, TX out of our headquarters office and is hybrid in office 3-4 days a week. **
The Vice President of Supply Chain is responsible for developing programs, systems and processes to standardize, procure, receive, manage, analyze and account for all materials, supplies, equipment, and purchased services used by Thrive. The VP is responsible for advising and assisting management, key stakeholders, and other end users in the optimization of the choice and utilization of supplies, equipment, and services. The VP will work closely with all functional areas of the organization to direct the efficient procurement and flow of goods, their related data, and dollars throughout the supply chain.
The VP will lead the development and implementation of the overall supply chain management strategy for Thrive, and create the structure, systems, and processes to make it successful. The VP will be an active contributor to the development and implementation of strategy for Thrive's overall business. The role will provide technical leadership, advice, and counsel on a wide array of issues and lead and contribute to the long-term profitability and success of Thrive.
The position will also direct contracting for supplies, equipment, and purchased services; manage vendor/distributor/supplier relationships, lead process optimization efforts, and control and facilitate all new product, equipment, process, and supply chain technology introductions, evaluations, and changes.
The Vice President of Supply Chain reports to the Chief Financial Officer.
Essential duties include, but are not limited to, the following:Leading a team of professionals to achieve organizational goals, which include ensuring a cost-effective supply chain with exceptional service levelsDriving revenue optimization through recommending business model and service delivery improvements; leading efforts to identify and implement margin expansion and revenue growth opportunitiesResponsibility for the life cycle of clinical and non-clinical products, equipment, and services utilized by the entire organization as well as the end to end value chain of supply managementServing as the key person accountable for managing/mitigating category complexity and riskEngaging DVMs, technicians, organizational leadership, and other customers to proactively identify, select, source, procure, and distribute products, equipment, and services for Thrive clinics and hospitalsDeveloping and fostering a collaborative, winning team culture with high morale and providing inspired leadership to the organization through clear communication of objectives, training and development, and ongoing coaching and leadership to maximize their effectivenessEnsuring Thrive has the correct structure, policies, internal controls, organization, and team to successfully deploy and execute the Supply Chain strategyLeading the development of systems, people, processes, and metrics that will provide the infrastructure necessary for the company to effectively execute its business plan(s)Working with a cross-functional teams to continuously improve key performance indicators such as forecast accuracy, expense reduction, capacity utilization/efficiency, COGS, inventory turns, and excess/obsolete inventoryCollaborate with senior and executive leadership to understand complex business challenges and define solutionsInvestigating on going trends, solutions, and best practices, bringing them to the company and implementing them where appropriate
