The VP Financial Planning & Analysis (VP FP&A) is first and foremost a Values-Based Leader who lives, works, and leads in alignment with their personal core values, purpose, strengths, and passion to in-turn inspire those around them to do them same. The VP FP&A is responsible for enterprise-wide financial planning and modeling, working closely with the CFO, CEO, and all members of the senior management team to establish and execute sound processes relating to budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis and provides solid financial analysis and recommendations to management for sound decision making and preparing materials for management and Board of Director meetings.Key Responsibilities:Values-Based Leadership and Self-Development –

Responsible for managing all aspects of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, analysis, and reporting for the Manatt Family of Businesses(MFB).
T he VP FP&A collaborates with departments across the entire MFB to ensure alignment with organizational goals. Leads the annual planning and budgeting process, working closely with department heads and executives to establish near and long-term financial targets and goals. Partners with business leaders, develop and drive financial and non-financial KPIs, provide decision support and strategic financial analysis and guidance. Leads the reforecasting process, collaborating with department heads and executives to gather and incorporate key data and assumptions. Manages the preparation of monthly financial reporting for management and the board. Ensures compliance with all financial covenants and quarterly/annual reporting requirements to lenders. Prepares modeling for potential M&A opportunities to assess integration and synergies, financial projections, valuation and returns, and impact to overall company. Identifies and assesses financial risks and opportunities, proposing strategies to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities. Maintains a deep understanding of the industry and market trends that may impact the organization's financial performance.Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Business partnering, hands on leader, forecast analytics & insights, executive presence & communication, continuous improvement mindset.Excellent verbal and written communication skills – able to communicate financial concepts to non‐financial audiences, executive and senior leadership, cost center owners.Possess a strong executive presence.Proven people management skills, with deep desire to elevate teammate performance.Financial consulting and analysis skills, including ability to assess needs, identify issues, recommend alternatives, and implement change.Proven corporate financial analysis and accounting.Experience and Education Requirements:4 year college degreeWork ExperienceBachelor’s Degree (Finance, Accounting, Business) required10 years of related experience (FP&A, Financial Reporting, Finance Business Partner, etc.)Required Licenses and CertificationsCPA preferred but not required.Direct ReportsMFB ControllersReports ToBehavioral RequirementsSolid leadership skills, even temperament, calm under pressureBusiness / TechnicalKnowledgeKnowledge of construction industry.
