Role Summary:
The Systems Analyst is responsible for analyzing, designing, and implementing information systems to support OBIM and HART operations. This role involves evaluating business needs, developing technical solutions, and ensuring system integration and optimization. The Systems Analyst will work closely with stakeholders to identify system requirements, perform data analysis, and provide recommendations for improving system performance and functionality.
Responsibilities:
Requirement Analysis: Gather and analyze business and technical requirements, ensuring they are accurately documented and understood.
System Design: Develop technical solutions and design system architecture to meet business needs, ensuring alignment with DHS guidelines and best practices.
Data Analysis: Perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform system improvements and optimization.
System Integration: Ensure seamless integration of various systems and components, managing interfaces between different platforms and technologies.
Performance Optimization: Identify opportunities for system optimization and provide recommendations for enhancing system performance and functionality.
Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation, including system specifications, design documents, and user manuals.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand business needs and ensure technical solutions meet those needs.
Testing and Validation: Support system testing and validation processes, ensuring that solutions meet quality and performance standards.
Minimum Requirements:
Experience: Over 5 years of relevant experience in systems analysis for large-scale IT systems, including experience with system design and integration.
Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in data analysis, system design, and documentation tools.
Certifications: Relevant certifications in systems analysis or equivalent professional qualifications.
Knowledge and Expertise: In-depth understanding of DHS guidelines, system architecture, and performance optimization techniques.
Education: A bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field, such as computer science, information technology, or engineering.
Preferred:
Advanced Technical Skills: Proficiency in additional data analysis tools and software relevant to system analysis and optimization.
Security Awareness: Understanding of security requirements and best practices related to systems analysis, ensuring compliance with relevant security standards.
Project Management: Ability to manage and coordinate systems analysis activities across multiple projects, ensuring timely and accurate implementation of technical solutions.
Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Advanced Degrees: A master’s degree or higher in a relevant field, such as computer science, information technology, or engineering.
Certifications: Additional certifications in project management, data analysis, or system architecture.
Strategic Development: Experience in developing and implementing strategic systems analysis plans, including technology roadmaps and innovation strategies.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, ensuring collaboration and integration of systems analysis activities across various technical domains.
