Role Summary:
The Business Analyst II/Requirements Modeler is responsible for gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements and translating them into technical specifications. This role involves modeling requirements to ensure they align with business objectives and support system design and development. The Business Analyst II/Requirements Modeler collaborates with stakeholders to understand their needs and provides recommendations for process improvements and system enhancements.
Responsibilities:
Requirement Gathering: Conduct interviews, workshops, and surveys to gather business and technical requirements from stakeholders.
Requirements Analysis: Analyze and prioritize requirements, ensuring they align with business objectives and technical feasibility.
Requirements Modeling: Develop detailed requirement models, including use cases, user stories, process flows, and data models.
Documentation: Create comprehensive documentation of requirements, including functional and non-functional specifications.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders, including business users, developers, and project managers, to ensure clear communication and understanding of requirements.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and provide recommendations for system enhancements.
Validation and Testing: Support the validation and testing of requirements, ensuring that solutions meet the defined specifications and business needs.
Change Management: Manage changes to requirements throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring that all changes are documented and communicated effectively.
Minimum Requirements:
Experience: Over 5 years of relevant experience in business analysis and requirements modeling for large-scale IT systems.
Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in requirements modeling tools and techniques, such as UML, BPMN, and use case modeling.
Certifications: Relevant certifications in business analysis, such as CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) or equivalent.
Knowledge and Expertise: In-depth understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
Education: A bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field, such as business administration, information technology, or computer science.
Preferred:
Advanced Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Project Management: Ability to manage and coordinate requirements modeling activities across multiple projects, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of specifications.
Agile Methodologies: Experience with agile methodologies and tools, such as JIRA and Confluence.
Advanced Degrees: A master’s degree or higher in a relevant field, such as business administration, information technology, or computer science.
Certifications: Additional certifications in project management or agile methodologies.
Strategic Development: Experience in developing and implementing strategic business analysis plans, including process improvement and innovation strategies.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, ensuring collaboration and integration of requirements modeling activities across various technical domains.
