ENVIRONMENTAL CONSULTANT (IAP) – BIOMASS & BIOMETHANE

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Consultant with a proven track record in Energy Conversion, Impact Assessment, and Permitting to join our dynamic team in the United Kingdom. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in providing strategic guidance and technical expertise to our clients, contributing to the delivery of sustainable energy solutions at the forefront of the biogas and biomethane revolution.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and contribute to environmental assessments for energy conversion projects, including renewable energy installations, power plants, and energy storage facilities.

Manage and coordinate the EIA process for a variety of projects, ensuring thorough assessments of potential environmental impacts and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Work closely with clients and regulatory authorities to obtain planning approvals for energy projects, navigating complex planning processes and providing expert guidance.

Assist clients in securing the necessary environmental permits and licenses for their projects, ensuring compliance with local and national regulations.

Provide technical expertise in environmental disciplines, including air quality, noise, ecology, and water resources, to support project development and permitting activities.

Engage with stakeholders, including local communities, government agencies, and non-governmental organizations, to build relationships and address environmental concerns proactively.

Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively, ensuring the successful delivery of environmental consulting services to clients.

Prepare high-quality reports, environmental impact assessments, and permit applications, adhering to industry standards and best practices.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or a related field (Master's degree preferred).

Extensive experience in environmental consulting, specifically within the UK energy sector.

Strong knowledge of UK environmental regulations and permitting processes.

Proven track record of successful project management and delivery.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with clients and stakeholders effectively.

Membership in a relevant professional organization (e.g., IEMA, CIWEM) is an advantage.

Proficiency in environmental assessment software and tools.
