Geo-Technology Associates, Inc. (GTA) is currently seeking an esteemed
Senior Special Inspections Professional
with 10 or more years of experience for the Washington, D.C. area.
The selected individual will manage current staff and projects while spearheading office expansion. They will be responsible for hiring, training, and mentoring new staff to facilitate office growth. Additionally, they will handle all business and project management functions, such as proposal preparation and review, invoice scrutiny, budget monitoring, collections, and ensuring profitability. This role offers outstanding opportunity for career progression, including future ownership in the firm.
Experience and Requirements :
• 10+ years of experience working in the construction observation and materials testing field• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering field is a plus• NICET, WACEL, ICC and/or ACI certifications• Preparation of final reports and field/laboratory testing of soils, concrete, asphalt, aggregates, and structural steel• Analytical and problem-solving ability• Ability to effectively coordinate projects• Stay current in local methods and regulations governing areas of practice• Assist in planning, research, and evaluation of new market areas• Sensitive to business interests and profitability• Excellent written and verbal communications skills• Demonstrated ability to develop new client and business is a plus
