Job Description
Position works 5 hours a day generally works 25 hours per week, including Saturdays.
T his position has been classified as a DOT position and is subject to our drug testing policy to include pre-employment, random, reasonable suspicion and post-accident for the following prohibited substances: marijuana, amphetamines, opioids, phencyclidine (PCP), and cocaine, as well as any drug not approved for medical use by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration or the U.S. Food and Drug
Administration.
Typical Duties
Learn and work with the State's web-based computer system called BlackCat. Learn and work with CATs dispatch software called Ecolane. Learn and work with CATS maintenance software called MaintencePro. Assist with the large volume of phone calls and reservation intake. Report for duty promptly each day and as this is a part time position, absence/tardiness will not be tolerated. Assist with daily fares reconciliation and daily trip to city hall to deposit. Maintain a steady pace to ensure that all fuel tickets, fares, work orders, etc., are input daily. Reconcile all month-end reports to enable Office Manager to submit monthly invoice to the State. Attend both in-house and out-of-town safety and training sessions as required. Assist Office Manager with upkeep of the Safety Data Sheets manual by printing and logging all Safety Data Sheets as required by OSHA.. Being a small department requires all to drive as needed for passenger transport and to assist with custodial duties. Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
Two years clerical and computer experience required. Must have the ability to type forty (40) words per minute with a high degree of accuracy. Licenses and Certificates:
Must possess a valid driver license equivalent to a New Mexico Class D, and have a good driving record. High School Diploma or a GED. Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of:
Working knowledge of computer word processing and spreadsheet programs. Enter data as required, working with Dispatch Software, Maintenance Software and Excel spreadsheets. Skill in:
Customer service, data entry, scheduling, radio dispatch. Ability to:
To enter data as required, man multi-line phone systems and assist with large volume of phone calls. Dispatch duties will be required to assist drivers out in the field, dependability and promptness is required. Physical Requirements:
Must be able to sit, stand, kneel and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. Working Conditions
Regular attendance is an essential function of this job to ensure continuity of services. Position is subject to drug testing in accordance with applicable State and Federal regulations and City of Clovis policies
