Let's work together.Job SummaryPerform business analysis on all aspects of technology and business improvement projects, focusing on stakeholder analysis, requirement development and management, and Acceptance testing.Assist and/or lead identification and clarification of innovative business solutions related to divisional strategic goals, in alignment with corporate strategy.

Utilize appropriate analysis tools and techniques to deliver cost effective solutions which meet business needs and improve efficiencies.

Participate in developing both the Business Analysis Practice and Business Analysis Framework to support definition and delivery of business value, including the writing, and updating of Business Case documents.

Assess and document business value propositions and maintain a focus on the value proposition throughout the execution of each business improvement project.

Foster partnerships with customers and business partners in various areas of ISG, Shared Services, and the other divisions of The Standard to both ensure their needs as stakeholders are identified and represented and encourage improved business analysis practices.

Skills and Background You'll NeedA minimum of

8 years of progressive experience

in providing business analysis in employee benefits, financial services, technology delivery, or other related fields.Requires demonstrated expertise in

Business Analysis

that has been gained via a combination of formal education, certification processes, and/or practical experience.

Requires thorough knowledge of business practices with a full understanding of Standard's group products, procedures, reference materials and resources, and risk elements.

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business or a related field - PREFERRED

Achievement of or progress toward: Fellow, Life Management Institute (FLMI), Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or Certification of Competency in Business Analysis (CCBA) – PREFERRED

Project Management Professional (PMP), certification in Process or Performance Management, or certification in Quality Assurance/Testing - PREFERRED

Highly encouraged: Membership in local business analysis association.

Key Behaviors of a Successful CandidateIs considered an expert in their professional field with in-depth knowledge in one or more specialty areas and is able to effectively apply creative analysis and problem solving skills to draft customized complex contract documents.

Is able to successfully lead or direct the customer through a contract review during implementation of complex policy opportunities and offerings, by expressing ideas clearly both verbally and in writing.

Is able to express leadership to model expected behaviors, project and process leadership, and provide mentoring and training for colleagues with less experience.

#LI-REMOTEPlease note - the salary range for this role is listed below. In addition to salary, our package includes incentive plan participation and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits, as well as an initial PTO accrual of 164 hours per year. Employees also receive 11 paid holidays and 2 wellness days per year.Eligibility to participate in an incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program and plan. Any award depends on various factors, including individual and organizational performance.
