(NYSE: TPB) seeks an experienced, highly motivated attorney to serve as Associate General Counsel. This role requires good judgment, a strong work ethic, excellent communication and relationship-building skills, and a strong interest in learning about new areas of the law. This is a unique opportunity to work on a variety of matters across the company in an exciting, fast-paced, and rapidly evolving environment. This role is a Monday-Thursday in-office with work from home on Fridays.As the Corporate Attorney you will help drive our legal strategy and business partner model forward. In this role, you will….Work cross-functionally with various groups across the company, with a primary focus on general commercial law, business formation, B2B and B2C transactions, real estate, mergers and acquisitions, IP, securities, regulatory, and corporate governance mattersConduct investment research and analysis and transactional due diligenceCollaborate with and manage outside counselAdvise cross-functional teams on strategy and riskProvide advice and support to the Board of DirectorsMinimum QualificationsJ.D. degree (or foreign equivalent) and membership in at least one U.S. state bar3+ years of experience handling commercial matters at a law firm and/or in-house roleExperience thinking strategically to solve complex legal challenges and managing multiple high priority projectsPreferred QualificationsExperience working with cross-functional teams, including experience communicating efficiently and managing relationships outside of legalExcellent interpersonal, verbal, written, research, and advocacy skillsBusiness acumen and transactional experienceTurning Point Brands is an equal opportunity employer.
