The Product Manager, EMC is responsible for all product management activities for EMC products in the United States and Canada. The Product Manager is the glue that binds product development, sales, marketing, service, and customer support for EMC products in North America. The ideal candidate demonstrates deep technical product and marketing knowledge, skills, and experience. This person will intensely focus on producing customer-specific messaging, content, and training to ultimately maximize product sales.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and share a deep understanding of customer needs in all key application areas for EMI Test Receivers, Broadband Amplifiers, EMC Software, EMC Accessories, and EMC SystemsRepresent the Munich-based product line in the U.S. and Canada, effectively linking the product lines with our sales organization and our customers in North AmericaGain a working perspective of the sales process and competitors in key EMC market segmentsLeverage deep product, marketing, and sales process understanding to produce high-value sales tools in order to effectively train the U.S. and Canada sales organizations, to help inform the product development organizations regarding current and future customer needs, competitive issues, and opportunitiesCoordinate with the product line, sales, and outbound marketing teams to lead the introduction of new products in the U.S. and CanadaProvide sales and marketing operational support for the EMC product families, including pricing, forecasting, and market analysisMaster customer needs and conversation to understand/correct gaps in our marketing and selling mixQualificationsBSEE or higher7+ years relevant technical experience in the test and measurement industryIn-depth understanding of EMC standards and testing methodologiesPossesses competitive analysis, writing, communications, project management, and presentation skillsCapable of taking responsibility, demonstrating ownership, and must be a motivated self-starterAdept at operating in a complex, technical, fast-paced environmentDetailed understanding of receiver architecture and features (i.e. time domain scan) a plusMust reside near (within 25 miles) a major airportAbility to travel up to 40% in the U.S. and Canada, and several times a year to Germany5+ years product management experience preferred - 5+ years marketing experience preferredThis is a full-time position with a total compensation target salary (base + commission) of $108K-230K plus benefits. The range is determined by the position, geographic location and level.
