JOB TITLE:

PROJECT ACCOUNTANT

POSITION SUMMARY:

Power Construction seeks a highly motivated individual to become the main point of contact for contract and financial coordination with the project team, owners, and subcontractors. This individual will be responsible for preparation of monthly payment requests, coordination of all subcontractors change orders, payments, contracts and waivers/affidavits. The ideal candidate will have a client focused approach and will work well independently and as part of the accounting team.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Review and enter subcontract agreementsEnter and maintain change order documentationPrepare monthly pay requests (Billings)Manage and communicate job cash flowAnalyze job cost and identify problemsReview and track waivers, affidavits, and collectionsRecord cost transfers in accounting softwareMaintain bond information request formsAssist in job closeout processParticipate in project review meetingsManage subcontractor payment distributionAssist Project Manager in identifying the need for additional servicesIssue project performance reportsAdvise project team of accounting procedures and policiesReview owner contracts to ensure all terms and requirements are being metContribute to accounting team meetings with knowledge sharing and process improvement ideas

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

BA in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent construction experience2-5 years of accounting experienceProficient with MS OfficeCMiC experience highly desired, but not requiredAbility to prioritize responsibilities and multi-task in a fast-paced environmentExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong interpersonal and problem solving skills
