We create and develop sustainability focused marketing programs in collaboration with some of the most recognizable brands and companies in the world (Colgate-Palmolive, BIC, Rubbermaid, Burts Bees, Swiffer and many more as well as dozens of independent organizations such as Earthborn Holistic, Lundberg Family Farms, and more). The Business Development Manager for the North American market will have experience in closing sales deals, team leadership, project management, and a proven ability to build and lead successful sales teams.Primary ResponsibilitiesManage and mentor a team of sales associates in the US to ensure strategic and financial goals are metWork with senior team members, including the Sr. Manager, Business Development, North America and VP, Global Business Development, to assist in scheduling, meetings, and business development activitiesBuild, maintain, and effectively manage a healthy sales pipeline, from outreach, prospecting, qualification of leads, pitching, contracting, and more to drive deals to closeResearch and evaluate potential new partners in the CPG worldDevelop client specific presentations and pitchesSecure new business development partnershipsManage company and client expectationsWork with new partners on pricing and finalization of contractsMotivate team members to exceed expectationsRepresent TerraCycle Brand Partnerships team at conferences and/or events, if neededOther tasks to support the team in driving growth, as neededDesired Qualifications3-5 years of pertinent sales or business development work experienceExperience working in the CPG or other professional service industries (i.e. advertising, consulting, accounting, law)Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically PowerPoint & Excel and experience using CRM systemsExcellent research, writing, and verbal communication skillsAbility to analyze data and translate results into continuous improvementProject management, attention to detail, and organizational skillsAbility to communicate, present, and influence all levels of the organization, including executive and C-levelProven ability to drive the sales process from plan to closeAbility to work autonomouslyAbility to mentor and lead a diverse teamCreative problem solving skillsCompensationMedical, Dental, Vision, Life, AD&D insurance available after 30 days401(k) plan with company match available after 30 daysEmployee Assistance Program22 PTO + 2 VTO + 9 paid holidays per yearHybrid work scheduleYear-round Flex FridaysCatered vegetarian lunch available in the office M-FCasual office environmentTerraCycle requires all employees to provide proof that they have been fully vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus, or have a valid religious or medical reason for being exempt.TerraCycle is an Equal Opportunity Employer and is committed to Diversity, Equality and Inclusion.Note: International candidates must be eligible to work in their country of employment.
