Strong writing, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential for this role.Duties:Provide support to the business department, focusing on transactional matters.Handle various aspects of cannabis law, including preparing and filing state and local license/permit applications.Assist with real estate transactions and commercial litigation.Conduct legal research and draft documents related to client matters.Collaborate with department members on handling matters and building a client base.Advise clients on municipal, real estate, land use, and corporate matters related to cannabis business operations.Requirements:Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-approved law school.Active membership in good standing with the Michigan Bar.Minimum of 5-7 years of working experience in transactional law.Demonstrated experience in preparing and filing state and local license/permit applications.Familiarity with cannabis law and regulations.Strong writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.Education:Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-approved law school.Certifications:Active membership in the Michigan Bar.Skills:Experience in transactional law, particularly in cannabis law, real estate transactions, and commercial litigation.Ability to prepare and file state and local license/permit applications.Strong legal research and writing skills.Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.Collaborative mindset and ability to work well within a team.Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
