We are not able to consider applicants outside of the US or Canada right now and unfortunately are not able to provide sponsorship at the moment.What You’ll Do:Lead software development projects and perform design and code reviewsDesign, develop, test, deploy, and maintain high-performance backend services supporting mobile and web applicationsEstablish best practices based on design patternsProvide technical leadership by mentoring/coaching other engineersLead the team in estimation and planning as well as managing your own tasks and reporting on progressCraft, propose, and document architecture designs, and implement systems to fulfill business initiatives.Establish testing policies and procedures (unit, integration, and e2e)Consider and solve for and security, scalability, availability, and performancePropose short-term and long-term solutions for pain points in the system or product with clear deliverables and action itemsEnsure high availability and reliability of services in productionAbout You;Must Have's:10 years experience in software development and at least 3 years in a technical leadership role(Staff, Lead, Principal, etc)Experience leading development efforts on a shipped productExpertise in node.jsExperience contributing to technical strategy and architectureStrong Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, and complexity analysisFamiliarity with design patterns such as MVC, OOP, observer, etcExpertise in REST patterns and general API design, documentation, and testing including familiarity with tools like swagger and postmanExperience with testing frameworks (e.g. jest, mocha, cypress)Experience with CI/CD and integration with testing as well as git workflows like code reviews on merge requestsExperience with cloud native development and stateless applicationsExperience writing and reviewing SQLNice to Have:Experience with building and supporting GQL APIs using best practicesExperience building on AWS offeringsExperience in full-stack developmentExperience supporting mobile applicationsExpertise with react frameworkExperience working in the healthcare industry or a regulated industry (HIPAA compliance, FDA, etc)What We Offer:As a brain health company, you'll have an opportunity to have a lasting impact on the way people and communities engage with brain and mental health, and even to affect the prognosis of people’s mental and brain health trajectory(pretty powerful stuff if you ask me!)A mission-driven environment where all 110+ (and counting) employees strive to exemplify our core values every dayCompetitive compensation packages that include an annual discretionary target bonus incentive as well as valuable equityUnlimited PTO — We know this can work both ways, however our leadership team does an excellent job at encouraging people to take PTOA sincere and deep appreciation for the importance of mental health.
