Job Overview: A law firm in Seattle, WA, is actively seeking a Junior Bankruptcy Associate Attorney with a strong background in commercial loans and bankruptcy court procedures. The ideal candidate will have experience documenting and enforcing commercial loans for institutional clients, demonstrating expertise in due diligence, UCC, debtor/creditor work, secured transactions, and the documentation and negotiation of sophisticated lending transactions.Duties and Responsibilities:Conduct due diligence and research on commercial loans, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.Handle UCC filings and assist in debtor/creditor matters.Participate in the documentation and negotiation of complex lending transactions.Provide legal support in broader bankruptcy cases, demonstrating familiarity with bankruptcy court proceedings.Conduct legal research and draft persuasive legal documents.Collaborate with senior attorneys to analyze and assess legal issues.Requirements:Completion of a judicial clerkship for a bankruptcy judge or at least 1 year of law firm experience documenting or enforcing commercial loans.Strong understanding of due diligence, UCC, debtor/creditor work, secured transactions, and bankruptcy court procedures.Excellent research and writing skills.Prior clerkship experience is a plus.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications:Admission to the Washington State Bar.Skills:Proficient in legal research and writing.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.Job Location: Seattle, WABenefits: The firm offers comprehensive benefits, including a 401K Profit Sharing and Savings Plan with a discretionary employer contribution.
