A law firm seeks a knowledgeable and motivated Associate Attorney to join its highly respected Bankruptcy Group. This position offers the opportunity to work on Chapter 7, 11, and 13 bankruptcy cases from inception to confirmation. The successful candidate will handle debtor defense cases and foreclosure proceedings and collaborate closely with senior attorneys. This role requires strong communication, negotiation, and legal research skills to effectively guide clients through complex financial situations.Duties
Manage bankruptcy cases, including Chapter 7, 11, and 13 filings, from initiation to resolution.Conduct legal research and provide strategic legal advice to clients.Draft and file bankruptcy petitions, schedules, first-day motions, and other related legal documents.Represent clients in court hearings, litigation, and negotiations with creditors, trustees, and other involved parties.Develop strategies to protect clients' assets and interests throughout bankruptcy proceedings.Stay updated on developments in bankruptcy law and regulations.Maintain organized and accurate case files and documentation.Collaborate with senior attorneys, outside counsel, and support staff for seamless case management.Review and address issues related to notices, title, probate, and deceased debtor matters.Requirements
2-4 years of bankruptcy experience, preferably at a solo practice or larger firm.Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.Active license to practice law in Arizona (preferred).Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced legal environment and manage multiple cases effectively.Proficiency in PC use and database systems for case management.Courtroom experience is preferred.Education
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Skills
Expertise in bankruptcy law, particularly Chapter 7, 11, and 13 filings.Strong negotiation and legal research abilities.Ability to manage a high caseload efficiently while meeting deadlines.Excellent interpersonal skills for client communication and collaboration with legal teams.Proficient in legal document drafting and case file organization.
