A law firm seeks a talented and motivated Bankruptcy Attorney to join their Dallas-based office. The ideal candidate will work closely with the bankruptcy team to provide legal support and guidance on various bankruptcy cases, including complex Chapter 11 proceedings. The role involves drafting legal documents, conducting research, and advising clients on bankruptcy-related matters. This position offers an opportunity to work on a wide range of legal issues in a collaborative and dynamic environment.Duties
Collaborate with the bankruptcy team to advise clients on a variety of bankruptcy matters.Conduct in-depth legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.Provide legal counsel to clients and senior attorneys, offering strategic advice and recommending appropriate legal actions.Take ownership of special projects and assignments as requested.Effectively manage and prioritize multiple cases and assignments simultaneously.Work alongside partners on complex bankruptcy and litigation matters.Requirements
Active law license in the state of Texas.Two to four years of relevant legal experience in bankruptcy law, including Chapter 11 proceedings. (Clerkship experience in this area can substitute for this requirement.)Experience with mass tort bankruptcies and representing landlords in tenant bankruptcies is considered an advantage.Strong business judgment, with the ability to provide strategic legal advice.Must be hard-working, well-organized, and able to handle multiple projects concurrently.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a team-oriented approach.Education
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Strong academic credentials are required.Certifications
Must hold a valid law license in Texas.Skills
Outstanding legal writing and research skills.Strategic thinking with excellent business judgment.Exceptional organizational abilities to manage numerous projects at once.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting.Flexibility to handle a broad range of legal matters.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
