Bankruptcy Associate Attorney

A law firm is seeking an Associate Bankruptcy Attorney to join their team remotely. This role involves handling a high-volume caseload related to bankruptcy matters, particularly representing secured creditors. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with telephonic and in-person court hearings and will demonstrate strong written, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.Location:Duties:Review and execute various bankruptcy documents, including Payment Change Notices, Post-Petition Fee Notices, Transfers of Claim, and Proofs of Claim.Conduct Chapter 13 Plan Reviews and manage related filings.Prepare and file motions, such as Motions for Relief from the Automatic Stay and Objections to Chapter 13 Plans.Represent clients in court hearings, both telephonically and in-person as needed.Manage a high-volume caseload, ensuring timely and accurate case handling.Address escalated and time-sensitive matters as they arise.Participate in additional projects and duties as assigned.Requirements:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Admission to practice law in California; multi-jurisdiction admission is advantageous.Experience with bankruptcy or mortgage servicing is preferred but not required.Experience with Chapter 11 cases and adversary proceedings is a plus.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications:Active bar membership in good standing in California.Skills:Strong verbal and written communication skills.Proficient in legal research and using tools such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.Ability to handle a large caseload and prioritize effectively.Strong problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills.Adaptable and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
